Milwaukee Laborers Local 113 is a member of the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) and serves workers in the construction and building trades within the five-county metro-Milwaukee area.

Audience and Goals: Local 113 needed a CMS-driven site to present news, meeting and event notices, and other information to existing and prospective members.

Solution: A CMS to handle information, photos and other material that changes or needs updating on a regular basis. A document/file repository and attachments for content pages were added to the CMS.  User accounts and access controls allow staff to restrict certain items so only staff or members can see and download it. Relatively static information about union offices, contacts and various programs were organized within a contact manager and directory system with a Google map feature showing the locations of offices. Current weather and forecasts are shown on the front page along with the latest labor news from a variety of sources. Basic ad management functions were also put into operation.
