The Riverwest Co-op and Café is a natural foods grocery cooperative and café that has been open to the public since 2001. Located in the heart of the beautiful and diverse Riverwest community of Milwaukee, the co-op is community-based, member-owned, volunteer-run, and it offers a truly unique shopping experience.

Audience and Goals: The co-op needed a website to promote itself to prospective memebrs and volunteers, and to communicate with existing customers and members.

Solution: Install the most simple of content management systems, a custom-themed blog engine with a photo rotator and sIFR true type font headers. An events calendar shows upcoming and past events at the store, and visitors can subscribe to emailed versions of news posted to the site. There is also a post-by-mail function that allows staff to send articles into the system by email from authorized accounts.
