The Riverwest Investment Cooperative was founded in the spring of 2003 by a group of Riverwest residents concerned with deteriorating nuisance properties, the prevalence of non-owner-occupied housing, and the lack of community-directed capital in their neighborhood. As a response to these problems, RIC’s goal has been to pool, organize, manage, and invest community resources (time, labor, and money) in housing rehabilitation projects that will benefit the long term health of the near-north side communities west of the Milwaukee river. RIC is incorporated in the State of Wisconsin as a member-owned and member-funded cooperative business.
Audience and Goals: Promote RIC to prospective investors/members, volunteers, and partners while keeping existing members/investors and the general public informed about RIC's activity.
Solution: CMS with customized template and careful attention to significant text and photo content showcasing and explaining RIC's work. Events calendar, document repository, photo gallery, contact lists/forms, multi-category news page.
