Ric Shreves of Water & Stone used Social Web Analytics (SWA) to estimate the relative market shares and prospects of many open source applications for web content management. The three main contenders--Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress--are given the greatest attention in this report. The methods used for the analysis are clearly explained and are a good case study showing how to do SWA.
