You Are Wasting Your Time If...

01You want to fix or update a crippled or outdated web application, and you're sure it will take me just a few hours.

02Your cousin has Dreamweaver or Frontpage and is a serious candidate for designing your website.

03You want a "Flash site" that's all eye candy, and you don't care it makes all your text content unsearchable and therefore invisible.

04You think cutting corners is a generally good idea, so you insist on using a terrible host, and you definitely don't believe in upgrading your software as it ages.

05You want a website that will rake in cash from ads or sales, and you have no interest in anything but the bottom line.

06You want a website that will make money from ads tacked onto junk content, or you want to take your shady business (e.g., pyramid scheme, multi-level marketing) online.

07You're doing anything with osCommerce other than getting rid of it.

08You want to build an eCommerce storefront or shopping cart to sell a low-quality product that the world is better off without.

09You want to boost your website's search engine results by any means necessary, including deception, disinformation, and spamming.

10You want me to contribute to or manage a project that involves a bunch of dispersed, cut-rate freelancers who may not even live in the US.

11You want to do bulk/mass email "blasts" without regard for anti-spam rules or basic consideration for your subscribers.

12Your business is generally about bullshitting people, and you want a website that will further slicken your pitch.

13You want me a to waive fees and work on speculation; e.g. a share of future profits generated by a website you don't want to pay for.

14You think your online "content" will arrive out of thin air, or that I will produce it for free.

15You think your "content management system" is me, and you expect me to update your site in perpetuity--for free.
